Ticks are parasites that feed on warm-blooded hosts including humans, dogs, cats, and deer. They carry many diseases including Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Bartonella, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and more. For instance, Lyme disease and other co-bacterial infections are caused by the bite of an infected deer tick, a type of tick which is prevalent in the North East. Undetected, these diseases can lead to a number of health problems and life altering symptoms.

Here are some ways to help you, your family, and pets lower the risk of getting a tick-borne illness:

  • Wear long-sleeved shirts and pants- If you are in a wooded area or in long grass, wear clothes that cover your arms and legs, tuck in your shirt, and tuck your pants into your socks to prevent ticks from getting on your skin.
  • Spray clothes and exposed skin with insect repellant- bug spray will help repel ticks before they bite!
  • Don’t forget about your pet.  They can also suffer from diseases like Lyme, so talk to your veterinarian about tick, flea, and heartworm prevention.

Even with these preventative measures, it’s highly important to take all precautions to protect your property from tick colonies and infestations.

Step 1: Find the Source

We first need to identify where the source of your problem is. We FOCUS on your property, where do you spend your time, where do you have experience with mosquitoes?  What time of the day?  Do you have standing water issues?  Do you have habitat that mosquitoes live in?  We will assess your property and determine the problem on our initial call.

Step 2: Outline a Treatment Plan

Once we have identified any issues at your property our certified Mosquito Control Professional will provide a FOCUS plan to eliminate your mosquitoes or other pest.  Our proven knowledge and experience will provide a guide to eliminate mosquitoes and keep them away.  We control and get rid of all aspects of the mosquito’s phases of evolution: from larvae to adult mosquito stage.

Step 3: Control the habitat

Our FOCUS treatment plan controls the mosquito lifecycle. By Finding the source of the problem and Outlining a plan to eliminate the pests: we treat the habitat, mosquito larvae and adult mosquitoes, with confidence that you will be happy with the results.  We treat every three weeks to eliminate the threat. We use products that have a proven record of results.

Every customer is different.  Some have children, pets, vegetable gardens, fish ponds, etc.  Some properties are businesses or vacation homes that require different programs.

We work with our customers to Understand their needs. We also want our customer to Understand what is the “best practice” to eliminate pests from their property. The customer can help is controlling some habitat issues in between treatments.  Example: Watch out for and eliminate standing water.
